Weekly Crumbs Vol 14

Hello hello! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I headed up to Seattle on Saturday to celebrate a good friends bridal shower and it was such a great girls weekend getaway! For the bridal shower we went through several bottles of rosé talking and laughing until our bellies hurt and went around telling stories of love and marriage with women of all ages which is always so interesting and fun! On Sunday we walked around the Ballard neighborhood which is the cutest little foodie haven with quaint cafes lining cobblestone streets. We passed through the bustling Ballard Farmer’s Market before landing at Gather Kitchen & Bar for brunch. We kicked off our incredible meal with spicy bloody Mary’s’ and grapefruit mimosas, before diving into pork shoulder hash, pork belly eggs benedict, Spanish omelets, breakfast burritos, lemon ricotta pancakes, and a platter of fresh-out-of-the-fryer pâte à choux doughnuts topped with whipped cream and blueberry reduction. Yeah… get your booties to this place the next time you’re in Seattle!

If you love a good Bloody Mary

Then check out this cute DIY Bloody Mary bar! I’ve never been a huge Bloody Mary fan in the past, but I am starting to like them more and more – especially if they’re spicy! How do you like yours?!

If you need a good pair of flowy pants for this summer heat

I am the biggest seeker of comfort these days and it pains me to have to put on a pair of jean shorts in this weather. I realized this weekend in Seattle, when I forgot to bring clothes to walk around the farmer’s market and was in black leggings scorching to death, that I need to purchase more flowy pants to throw on! I love these, these, and these

What a fun trip! I love Seattle in the summer. Also, I’ve been listening to a ton of podcasts lately but haven’t tried Skinny Confidential yet. Thanks for the rec!

The doughnuts sound amazing. I allow myself something sweet if out for brunch. I hear you on the comfort clothes. I tell people I own dresses and yoga pants and almost nothing else.

I’m such a savory person for brunch, but I love ordering one sweet thing to split with everyone 🙂

Umm that place sounds amazing – it will definitely be on our list next time we’re up that way! And I used to not like bloody Mary’s too, but then I had one at a DIY bar, and never looked back. I think the key is a housemade mix or mix your own 😉

Yes, homemade Bloody Mary mix is the best! I like mine extra spicy 🙂
