Weekly Crumbs Vol 25

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! It’s been a while since I’ve done a weekend recap and I got the urge last night while watching What Lies Beneath (Michelle Phiffer is goals amiright?) I’m in full halloween mode right now! Now that Thomas is home I feel comfortable watching scary movies but I’ve been a scaredy cat while he’s been gone! Here’s a little recap of life happenings, things I’m loving, and some Fall/Halloween Inso for ya.

When I was visiting Thomas while he was at training in Minneapolis last week, I wandered around the Mall of America and stumbled into Abercrombie & Fitch. Who knew after 2007 I would be rocking the Fitch again?! I found the best Fall basics like this black top and tons of other cozy things. I promise, your inner preteen will love you for walking back in there to shop.

Other cozy things to buy for October!

this pumpkin bourbon candle smells so good – $13
a chunky knit blanket is essential for Fall mornings $33
this cute little jack-o-lattern mug – $7
Hey there Pumpkin doormat – $36

Recipes on my list to make this week!

Crockpot parmesan white bean chicken soup with delicata squash – soup is on repeat in our house this time of year!
Vegetarian Sheppards pie  – one of my favorite comfort dishes
Chocolate cardamom morning buns – so good with a cup of coffee! My mom is coming to visit next weekend so I want to make something like this for us to have in the mornings!

And the recipes coming to the blog soon are:
brown butter chocolate chip cookies! It has taken me FOREVER to figure out how to get a good chewy cookie..and this is it!!
Butternut squash and kale pasta – SO CREAMY. Can’t wait to share it with you!

Since traffic is horrific in Atlanta and I am commuting almost two hours a day, podcasts have become my new best friend. Since I’m all into spooky things, I have been loving Crime Junkie, Dear John, and Up & Vanished! Whether you’re taking a road trip or commuting in the morning these will have you on the edge of your seat! Other podcasts that I always listen to is the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast as well as Goaldigger!

If you’re looking for a good suspenseful read for October, I just finished the Women in Cabin 10 and the Couple Next Door! Both are so good if you like a little suspense.

Well in between watching Halloween movies, I’m watching Season 2 of Big Little Lies – Have you seen it?! Meryl Streep is awesome as always, kind of weird in this one though! If you want a good halloween movie list, check out this list of 100+ movies from not-so-scary to really scary!
