First muddle a sugar cube, 5 dashes of the chocolate bitters, and a small spoonful of water in your rocks class until sugar dissolves. (I got these brown sugar cubes from Whole Foods and my rocks glasses from Crate & Barrel!)
Then add in 3 oz of rye or bourbon - we are using Makers Mark right now.
Drop in your ice cube and stir a few revolutions until ice cube dilutes a little and everything is properly mixed.
Cutting an orange, squeeze just the juice of one orange wedge into your glass. Lastly, cut off an orange peel and twist it running it along the edge of the glass rim before dropping it on top or the side of the cube. Add a Luxardo cocktail cherry and you are good to go!
